So I started off, innocently enough, just looking for some new tweezers and I ended up wanting all of these other beauty tools. These are the dangers of me shopping. I was looking at Tweezerman tweezers because I’ve seen them recommended by eye brow master Sania Vucetaj, and I found all of these other little tools I want to try out. Here’s the list.

So it was another stressful, super busy weekend- worked a lot, but two of my prego friends and I did get to slip away for a few hours for a lovely brunch and a visit the Elemis Day Spa for a little TLC. I got an 80 minute deep tissue massage, and a manicure and pedicure. The massage was just not long enough. I think I need like a 3-day marathon massage. It definitely helped, but I still have a lot of pain in my back and neck. Apparently, I absorb all of my stress in this one damn muscle on my back. Aaaaaah! It is the bane of my existence. I told the masseuse that I thought she would have to punch me repeatedly to get the knot out and she responded by telling me she thought she needed a hammer. Ouch! I guess it’s worse than I thought.
Anyhow, a good time was had by all and we are definitely going to make an effort to have these little retreats a bit more often. Just sitting in the little lounge where you wait for them to call you for your next treatment was relaxing. The room was dim with soothing music, snacks, refreshments, and of course the super cozy, plush robes and chairs. Damn, I wish I was in that room right now instead of at my desk on a Monday. Ugh!
I would highly recommend a spa visit to anyone and the Elemis Day Spa was a great experience for us. We’ll be back, hopefully sooner than later.
So my highschool reunion is coming up in December and I’ve already started the hunt for the perfect dress. So it seems everyone I know is knocked up. My sister, my friend, her sister, her two cousins, my other friend…I think there’s something in the water. I’ve clearly been drinking soda, but I digress. Anyhow, this baby fever has got me on the look out for the cutest and trendiest baby fashions. Unfortunately, we have yet to discover the gender of any of these babies (well, they actually look like shrimp at this point) but that hasn’t stopped me from looking. Here are some of my favs:

I love fahion and cupcakes, but the price tag on this little number is insane!!! I know it’s a little old lady tacky but I must admit I do like this bag enough that I think I would use it. But I would never, ever, ever spend this kind of loot on it. I mean…whoa!
I couldn’t resist; I had to buy the USB Vacuum. It’s way too funny to pass up. It doesn’t suck up crumbs from my keyboard as I would have hoped, but it does make the vacuum noise when you plug it in. It also grabs a lot of attention.
Another great Rene Furterer product I like to use is Rene Furterer Strong Hold Structuring Mousse. I run it through my damp hair before I blow dry and it really helps add volume and hold to my super fine and limp hair.
They say scent is the sense that is most closely correlated with memory, and these scents would certainly take me back…waaay back.
